ConnectSmart is currently listed in the app stores as “ConnectSmart Mobility”. The ConnectSmart app was first launched in Houston, TX, and it is supported by a combination of local, state, and federal funding. The Federal Highway Administration has committed federal transportation funds as part of its five-year, FAST Act-established Advanced Transportation and Congestion Management Technologies Deployment Program. In support, the Texas Department of Transportation has contributed state and local funds for ConnectSmart’s implementation. ConnectSmart is now available in the greater Austin area. What is the Movability Fall Festival Challenge?

The Movability Fall Festival Challenge is a two-month-long regional challenge running from October through November 2025, encouraging Central Texas commuters to try carpooling as a smarter way to get around. Organized by Movability, the challenge rewards participants for using shared travel modes—and ConnectSmart is proud to support it with our easy-to-use carpooling tools.

By carpooling, taking transit, or cycling at least once using the free ConnectSmart app, you’ll not only reduce traffic and emissions—you’ll also be eligible to win one of five $100 H-E-B or Amazon gift cards.
